Overview

CuraLinc Healthcare's new study, published in the International Journal of Scientific Research Publications, is the largest EAP outcomes study to date, with data for 85,432 employees of 2,679 employers over seven years. The results provide industry-specific benchmarks regarding presenting concerns, risk prevalence and overall behavioral risk profiles for eight major industries, allowing providers and employers to understand and analyze their own workforce needs and program success.

Restaurant and Retail Industry

CuraLinc analyzed the health and productivity outcomes of 9,869 employees who worked at 201 companies.

  • 78% of retail and restaurant EAP users who started treatment at risk for anxiety recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 86% of retail and restaurant EAP users who started treatment at risk for depression recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 76% of retail and restaurant EAP users who started treatment at risk for hazardous alcohol use recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • Employees in the retail/restaurant industry who had a work productivity problem recouped an average of 38.37 hours per month after treatment 

 

 

Healthcare Industry

CuraLinc analyzed the health and productivity outcomes of 15,794 employees who worked at 458 hospitals and healthcare companies.

  • 74% of healthcare EAP users who started treatment at risk for anxiety recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 82% of healthcare EAP users who started treatment at risk for depression recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 73% of healthcare EAP users who started treatment at risk for hazardous alcohol use recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • Employees in the healthcare industry who had a work productivity problem recouped an average of 40.48 hours per month after treatment 

 

 

Education Industry

CuraLinc analyzed the health and productivity outcomes of 8,020 employees who worked at 217 schools.

  • 79% of education EAP users who started treatment at risk for anxiety recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 88% of education EAP users who started treatment at risk for depression recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 74% of education EAP users who started treatment at risk for hazardous alcohol use recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • Employees in the education industry who had a work productivity problem recouped an average of 38.23 hours per month after treatment 

 

 

Technology Industry

CuraLinc analyzed the health and productivity outcomes of 5,869 employees who worked at 229 companies.

  • 82% of technology EAP users who started treatment at risk for anxiety recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 93% of technology EAP users who started treatment at risk for depression recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • Less than 2% of technology EAP users initially at risk remained at risk for hazardous alcohol use after treatment 

  • Employees in the technology industry who had a work productivity problem recouped an average of 38.82 hours per month after treatment 

 

 

Transportation Industry

CuraLinc analyzed the health and productivity outcomes of 10,227 employees who worked at 77 companies.

  • 72% of transportation EAP users who started treatment at risk for anxiety recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 93% of transportation EAP users who started treatment at risk for depression recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

CuraLinc analyzed the health and productivity outcomes of 11,895 employees who worked at 551 companies.

  • 76% of finance and banking EAP users who started treatment at risk for anxiety recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 82% of finance and banking EAP users who started treatment at risk for depression recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 67% of finance and banking EAP users who started treatment at risk for hazardous alcohol use recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

Government and Municipalities Industry

CuraLinc analyzed the health and productivity outcomes of 6,369 employees who worked at 317 companies.

  • 80% of government and municipality EAP users who started treatment at risk for anxiety recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • 86% of government and municipality EAP users who started treatment at risk for depression recovered to no longer be at risk after treatment

  • Less than 2% of government and municipal EAP users remained at risk for hazardous alcohol use after treatment
