Start the conversation
May is Mental Health Awareness Month – a time to shed light on the challenges faced by millions of Americans living with mental health conditions. This is also a wonderful time to shine a spotlight on your workplace mental health program. Here are a few ideas to help you start the conversation.
Share the resources within CuraLinc’s 1in5 Anti-Stigma Campaign, which helps employers and employees start the conversation about mental health, normalize the need for mental health support and reduce the stigma for those who want to access care.
Host a lunch n’ learn or webinar on a mental health topic.
Host an activity, such as yoga for stress relief or mindfulness meditation, which could be done online.
Create a short online quiz to help people learn more about mental health and accessing CuraLinc’s EAP. Then, host a drawing for participants with prizes focused on wellbeing, such as books, gift cards and more.
Host a mental health fair that includes some of the activities above, as well as handouts on how to access your EAP and the many ways employees can receive support.
Host a training for leaders to remind them about your mental health benefits and help them feel confident in supporting employees who may be facing mental health challenges.
Are you hosting an event? We want to hear about it!
Throughout the month of May, we will be sharing some of the Mental Health Awareness events our clients are hosting.
